Kerala Visit - Ayurveda At Its Best

If you have not been here in the rains, then I must say - its a crime that you have done. Kerala is a destination which one ought to visit during the rainy season - that is August. It might sound a little quirky, but the truth is - if you enjoy walking in the rains - sometimes light and other times heavy; then you won't find a better place filled with greenery.

If you do happen to make a plan, then just move to Kumarakom - which is really beautiful in this season. Bounty with its gems - ayurveda, boat races and temples - it has got all one would be looking for in a peaceful and serene place.

Once you are in Kumarakom - the BACKWATERS TOURIST DESTINATION, do not forget to get yourself pampered with a detox/rejuvenation package. Also try out the special meals which are inclusive of these packages.

Then get on to the route which takes you the famous lake of Kerala - Vembanad. This is the best location if you want to give a closer look to the villages of South India. And yes, once you are here in the month of August, do not miss out the world famous Nehru Trophy Boat Race, which first took place in the honour of Indian Prime Minister - Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Held in the Punnamada Lake near Alappuzha, it takes place in the beautifully ornamented Chandan Vallams ( wooden canoes also known as snake boats); its an occasion which cannot be missed out.

All said and done, be here to see the natural beauty at its best which comes out with all the charms in this season. Be here for the simple reason - be with the nature!!
