Udaipur Memories
I turned around and looked back and i could still hear the steps of my own feet. Silence is prevalent in the lanes of Udaipur. In the Royal World of the Kings, its 4 a.m. in the morning and what I can hear is nothing but the chirpiness of birds all around.
In this silence I tell my cabbie to take me towards Fateh Sagar Lake. Its silent and serene. Lord Sun shows up here gracefully and one can easily sip a cup of tea from any of the local vendors. Yet i preferred my own cup. Taking a boat ride in the lake gives you pleasant feeling which cannot be explained in words.
My next destination is City Palace which opens by 9:30. It five storied with tales of Maharana Pratap and his loyal horse Chetak, royal courtyard where some royal puja is still carried out, the Peacock courtyard where Royal meetings are held to this date and the life which was used to takes Kings up and down the first floor.
Next to it is the City Palace Museum which also includes the World's LARGEST CRYSTAL GALLERY. It is one of the most poised one, delicate and intricate and full of varied colours - red green, yellow - something altogether different crystal from the white crystal generally found. After getting myself clicked with the Maharana's elegant wall frame; i walked out to sip a cup of tea in the shops just near to the Museum.
Summers can be lazy here, so i just had my lunch at my hotel and got some Mehandi applied. In the evening, got myself some of the finest Rajasthani dresses including those lovely skirts. The nights are silent here but the beauty still lies.
Got to see some more beautiful places on earth......http://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/rajasthan/udaipurhttps://an-expedition.blogspot.com/2015/04/udaipur-memories-i-turned-around-and.html
