Mussoorie The Next Winter Destination

When it comes to Indian Hill Stations, Mussoorie is one of the most admired one. Standing at a distance of just 8 hours by road from Delhi, it is certainly not to be missed out. broadly speaking it takes about a day to reach this poetic land which has no direct flights and absolutely no trains to reach it. If you are short on time then one can take a flight to Dehradun which is a 2 hours 25 minutes flight from Delhi(of SpiceJet). From there on you need to take a Taxi to reach the hill station.

Established by a British Officer in 1820, it was once called the "Queen of Hill Stations". Today it is a much-admired place where Ruskin Bond lives and often comes to BookStores to Autograph his books! Surrounded by Doon Valley, it has a wide number of hotels to choose from. From 5 star hotels like JW Marriot to Vermont Estate, it has got stay for everyone. However in the season, one may find stays a little costlier beginning from INR 3000 per day; but the price is worth it.

The place has got more than 39 beautiful and serene tourist destinations to see. Some even take a single day just to see around, so it's better to have some days on hand before coming here! The list includes must visit places like Lal Tibba, Happy Valley, Mussoorie Heritage Centre, Jharipani Falls, Choepelling Temple and the Cafe next to Ruskin Bonds house. But this all is for daytime. Evening calls for a walk on the Mall Road as well as Library Bazar. The two most well-known attractions in these places are the Movie Theatre and the Icecream Parlour which sells yummy ice creams in winters!

But that includes man-made structures, but what is admired most here is the natural beauty which defies time. So, be here enjoy what mother nature gives to its visitors, something which is unbeatable and unforgettable!
